Brakanes Hotel enjoys a unique location – right on the edge of the fjord in the heart of beautiful Ulvik. Here, you can enjoy long, sunny days on our private beach, relax outdoors, or go on one of the many local hikes. Our kitchen serves everything from light snacks to delicious three-course dinners – always with the magnificent fjord as your closest neighbor.
Wellness
Right by the fjord, you’ll find our idyllic wellness area with a hot tub and sauna – perfect after a long mountain hike or as a well-deserved everyday break. Gather good friends around the fire pit and enjoy the spectacular view, all year round.
Nearby is the bathhouse with changing rooms and an outdoor shower. If you prefer to shower indoors, that’s of course also possible. Access to the outdoor hot tub and sauna must be reserved at the front desk for an additional cost.

Availability at our dock varies. Please let us know in advance, and we’ll be happy to accomodate you.

Bar Après
Open every day at the reception – serves both local and classic beverages, with a wide selection of local cider.
Vaskeriet Pub
Currently closed due to renovation planning.
Sara & Marta Dance Bar
Can accommodate around 200 guests. The bar is open for weddings, Christmas parties, and larger events during the summer days.
Restaurant Draumen
Breakfast buffet daily from 07:00 – 10:00
(Saturday and Sunday until 10:30)
Lunch menu daily from 13:00 – 16:00 (in season)
À la carte or daily menu from 18:00 – 22:00 until August 31
Reduced à la carte menu from 18:30 – 21:30 during the period September 1 – October 31
The fitness center
Ulvik Fitness Center is located outside the hotel grounds, but just 200 meters from the hotel and free for all our guests. Pick up the key at the reception.
The pool
The fjord can be refreshing! In our indoor pool, you can relax and enjoy a peaceful moment regardless of the weather or season – perfect for the little ones.
Charging for electric cars
We offer 8 regular charging points at the hotel. These use the Laddel app. Fast charging is available just 50 meters away – in the parking lot behind the hotel.
Lounge room
Located up the stairs from the reception – a cozy spot to read a book or enjoy the view.
The fjord lounge
A calm and elegant space with views of the garden and the fjord. Perfect for gathering for an aperitif or a meal. We offer table seating for up to 40–60 people or a mingling area for around 100 guests.
